Vernors first new flavor in decades hits stores this week for Michiganders only. The Detroit original is coming out with a new limited-time-only flavor, Vernors Black Cherry Ginger.

Vernors is one of the country’s oldest sodas. Created by James Vernor of Detroit, it has been around for 156 years since it was first served to the public in 1866. Unfortunately, the only way to get Vernors Black Cherry is to live in Michigan or Toledo, OH.
